Job Description

We are seeking a talented Videographer / Content Creator to join the Buzz Media House team. At Buzz Media House, we create organic short-form video content for brands across entertainment, real estate, fitness, and more. We are looking for a creative individual with experience in video filming, editing, and social media.

Requirements

• A talented creative who can execute social media videos from start to finish
• Proven experience in videography with a strong portfolio demonstrating social media content creation (iPhone is fine)
• Technical proficiency in camera setup, filming techniques, utilizing cameras & tripods, lighting for video production, and sound recording for video production
• Skilled in editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Instagram Edits, and CapCut.
• Knowledge of visual storytelling expertise to produce captivating videos with hooks, captions, quick cuts, and CTAs
• Ability to operate video recording equipment confidently in various environments and adapt quickly to different shooting conditions
• Strong understanding of social media trends and platform-specific video specifications
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently
• Ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple projects at once
• Ability to travel to various businesses/locations around the Houston area (5-8 times per month)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with professional videography equipment
• Drone experience & drone license
• Experience in real estate & entertainment industries
• Someone who loves following/setting trends, trying new things, and is comfortable with creating content from idea to execution

Responsibilities

• Film on site with various businesses around the Houston area (monthly or quarterly)
• Plan trends, concepts, sounds, and scripts ahead of content days.
• Provide creative direction on content days (angles, lighting, cropping, scripts, hooks, etc.)
• Video editing including quick cuts, color grading, captions, text, hooks, cutaways, voiceovers, etc.
• Optimize videos for social media platforms, such as TikTok & Instagram.
• Deliver 25-35 short-form videos each month complete with thumbnails & captions.
• Manage multiple projects, clients, and deadlines.
• Schedule videos to post using provided software.

Additional Information

This role will involve monthly and/or quarterly visits with multiple clients to capture video content. Other than that, work from wherever and whenever! All I ask for is communication, punctuality, and the ability to hit deadlines. I am open to hiring someone with a strong passion for video production & editing alone, but if you also have initiative & drive, there is lots of room to grow in this role!

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
