Job Description
SQL Server / SSRS Reports Developer for Public Safety. This is a long-term contract position based in Phoenix with a pay range of $65-75/hr W2. The role involves working with a major public safety agency’s records management environment and is set to run through mid-2028.
Requirements
- Currently residing in the Phoenix metro area (Avondale, Glendale, Mesa, Tempe, etc.); relocation candidates will not be considered.
- Authorized to work without sponsorship now or in the future; W2 employment only, no C2C.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, including T-SQL, permissions administration, and query optimization.
- Strong experience with SSRS, specifically in report design, deployment, and management.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Administering SQL Server permissions for SSRS folder and report access.
- Developing and optimizing queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
- Building, testing, and deploying SSRS reports for multiple bureaus.
- Gathering reporting requirements from both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Troubleshooting query, dataset, and data-integrity issues.
- Documenting changes, workflows, and permissions in accordance with strict security and data-governance standards (CJIS environment).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Premier One RMS and working with large datasets in public safety or enterprise settings is preferred.
Additional Information
Compensation of $65-75/hr W2 based on experience. The work schedule is Monday to Friday during the daytime. This position is hybrid, with 75% onsite work in downtown Phoenix and 25% remote work to be discussed after onboarding.
This is a long-term contract expected to last through June 2028, starting around August 31. In-person interviews will occur within a week after the job posting closes. The candidate is expected to start within two weeks of receiving the offer, following a thorough background process required for a public safety environment.
