Job Description

Halogen Engineering Group is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team. This is a full-time, onsite position located in Fort Meade, MD. The role requires a current TS/SCI security clearance with a polygraph that has been completed within the last five years. The position supports the development life cycle of platform architectural design, deployment, and debugging. The engineer will build a release pipeline, maintain version control systems, automate deployments, and contribute to Agile team activities.

Requirements

Required Skills:

• 10+ years of experience in an Agile development environment.
• Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• Must be fluent with Git and have strong knowledge of Linux environments (RHEL, CentOS).
• Experience with Windows system administration and system monitoring.
• 10+ years of system architecture experience with capability to read code for troubleshooting.
• Experience with MySQL and Elasticsearch.
• Fluent skills in Object Oriented Programming in at least one language (e.g., Python, Ruby).
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members.

Qualifications:

• Ten (10) years’ experience as a Software Engineer in similar scope and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or four (4) years of additional experience may substitute for the degree.

Salary Range

The projected compensation range for this position is $210K - $222K (annualized USD), subject to various factors including experience and education.
