Job Description

We are a growing digital marketing agency based in Rhode Island, seeking a reliable and creative Videographer / Content Producer to join our production team on a recurring basis. The position involves producing content for various local and regional businesses, including professional services, restaurants, gyms, healthcare, and more.

This role focuses on production, shooting, and organization. You will prepare for shoots, capture polished professional video, direct clients on camera, and ensure a clean handoff to the post-production team. While editing experience is a plus, we prioritize planning effectiveness, shooting great footage, and client interaction.

The role starts with approximately 5 shoots per month, aiming to grow to 10+ shoots per month for the right candidate.

Requirements

• Production Responsibilities:
• Plan and execute video shoots
• Capture various video content (interviews, testimonials, podcasts, etc.)
• Set up and operate equipment (cameras, lighting, microphones)
• Direct clients on camera
• Identify and capture compelling b-roll
• Record professional-quality audio
• Work collaboratively with creative teams
• Represent the team professionally with clients
• Pre-Production:
• Attend pre-production calls to understand project scopes
• Develop detailed shoot plans and shot lists
• Prepare interview questions and identify locations
• File Management & Post-Production Handoff:
• Organize footage using established naming conventions
• Label footage by client, shoot date, and content category
• Leave clear notes for editors
• Experience & Qualifications:
• Proven videography experience with a professional portfolio or reel
• Strong understanding of video production techniques
• Comfortable directing clients and managing video shoots
• Excellent organization and pre-production planning skills
• Reliable transportation and ideally located within 45 minutes of Providence, RI
• Bonus Skills:
• FAA Part 107 drone certification
• Photography experience
• Video editing skills

Additional Information

Compensation & Structure:

• 1099 contractor position
• Starting retainer: $1,500/month
• Shoots generally 3 hours or less
• Additional production compensated separately at approximately $100/hour
• Most shoots will take place throughout Rhode Island, Southeastern Massachusetts, and occasionally Boston
• Travel expenses covered when applicable
