Job Description

We are seeking an accomplished U.S.-based freelance voice-over artist with extensive character acting experience to provide voice recordings for animated characters. This is a specialized role; we are not seeking a general voice-over artist or someone with a generic Hispanic accent. We are looking for a performer who can convincingly portray cartoon characters speaking English with an authentic, easily recognizable Mexican-style Spanish accent. The ideal candidate understands and can naturally reproduce the distinctive rhythm, intonation, and speech patterns commonly associated with Mexican Spanish while speaking English. Performances must sound authentic, expressive, consistent, and believable.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be based in the United States.
• Minimum of five (5) years of professional voice-over experience, including substantial character voice acting.
• Demonstrated expertise portraying animated characters with distinct, consistent personalities.
• Demonstrated ability to perform English dialogue using an authentic Mexican-style accent consistently throughout an entire recording session.
• Demonstrated experience working on episodic productions where the same character voice had to be maintained with exceptional consistency across multiple episodes, recording sessions, and extended production schedules.
• Excellent acting skills with the ability to convey emotion, humor, personality, and timing through voice alone.
• Professional-quality home recording studio capable of producing clean, broadcast-quality audio.
• Reliable, professional, and able to consistently meet production deadlines.

Required Submission

• A demo reel is required.
• Please include examples that demonstrate:
• Animated or cartoon character voices.
• English dialogue performed with an authentic Mexican-style accent.
• Strong character acting, vocal range, emotional expression, and consistency.
• If available, samples from episodic productions that demonstrate your ability to maintain the same character voice consistently across multiple episodes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Native speaker of Mexican Spanish, or extensive demonstrated experience accurately performing an authentic Mexican-style accent in spoken English.
• Experience with animation, dubbing, ADR, or other character-driven productions.
• Ability to take creative direction and quickly adapt performances during recording sessions.
