Description
St. Thomas More Catholic Church welcomes applications for a staff singer position in the tenor voice part. The singer will serve individually as a section leader for the parish choir (4 singers per Mass) and sing in an 8-voice schola cantorum for Masses throughout the year. The 2026-2027 choral season runs from September 30, 2026 through June 20, 2027.
The well-established staff singer position seeks to support a thriving choral program. Scheduling is meant to be flexible to the gigging musician, but successful applicants will be asked to make a prioritized commitment to St. Thomas More liturgies during the Christmas and Easter/Triduum holidays.
Requirements
The successful applicant will demonstrate skilled singing and musical ability within a choral and collaborative setting. Independent study and preparation are required. A keen sense of pastoral care to the volunteer musicians and the community at large is also needed. Higher education in music is a benefit but not compulsory.
