Job Description

Adventure Solutions is looking for a temporary WordPress Website Content Specialist to assist with a focused 8–12 week website update project. The website is fully designed, developed, and functioning in WordPress. The specialist will not be building a new website or redesigning the existing site but will update content, images, pages, project galleries, and layouts efficiently and with limited supervision. There may be future opportunities for ongoing website work beyond this project.

Responsibilities

• Update existing WordPress pages and content
• Add and replace project photos, graphics, and images
• Add new projects to the website
• Create new pages using existing page designs and templates
• Update written content, headings, links, buttons, and calls to action
• Make basic layout and formatting adjustments
• Organize and improve project galleries and portfolio content
• Ensure updates display properly on desktop, tablet, and mobile
• Identify and correct broken links, formatting issues, and outdated content
• Assist with basic on-page SEO, including page titles, descriptions, image names, and alt text
• Optimize images for website use
• Maintain the existing branding, design, and overall structure of the website

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with WordPress
• Experience updating and maintaining an established WordPress website
• Comfortable working with WordPress page builders and themes
• Good eye for visual presentation and page layout
• Ability to resize, crop, optimize, and upload images
• Basic understanding of SEO best practices
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage a list of website updates
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Ability to complete work efficiently and meet deadlines

Basic HTML/CSS knowledge and graphic design experience are a plus but not required.

Additional Information

This is not primarily a web development or programming position. The successful candidate should be very comfortable working inside WordPress and managing updates efficiently.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
