On-site Multimodal AI Engineer
AI Engineer is needed in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Raqeb builds edge-AI analytics for existing CCTV systems used by construction and logistics operators across the UAE and GCC. We need a multimodal engineer to deliver a first-month proof of concept by deploying five detection modes on a launch-client appliance, running reliably on live camera feeds. The system processes vision-language model inference locally and sends only structured insight events to a secure UAE-hosted dashboard; raw footage must remain on site.
You should have strong Python, practical deployed ML and computer vision experience, and the ability to build both backend APIs and a usable frontend independently. You will work on site in Dubai, Monday to Friday, and should be comfortable with RTSP/ONVIF, CCTV or DVR integrations, and configuring hardware at client sites. Experience with edge inference, VLMs in production, Apple Silicon, MLX, Core ML, Jetson, Hikvision, or UAE residency is a plus.

About the client
Raqeb builds edge-AI analytics for existing CCTV. Our on-site appliances run vision-language model inference against live camera streams locally and transmit only structured insight events to a secure UAE-hosted dashboard — raw footage never leaves the premises. That architecture makes the platform compliant with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law by design rather than by policy. We work with construction and logistics operators across the UAE and wider GCC.
