AE Recruitment - Intermediate Interior Designer
Interior Designer is needed in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Client: AE Recruitment
Location: Dubai, DU, ae
Contract: Freelance
Job Description
Our client is a boutique, Dubai-based architecture and interior design studio specializing in hospitality, healthcare, wellness, and high-end residential projects. The practice, led by two Founding Partners, combines their expertise from well-known international practices with a hands-on approach in a studio of 45 staff. The studio’s design methodology is research-based and human-centric, emphasizing sensitivity to context, culture, and environment. Their design philosophy focuses on minimalism and occupant wellbeing rather than spectacle.
This role is designed for a designer ready to own defined areas of a project independently, with responsibilities spanning internationally branded resorts, remote wellness retreats, and complex healthcare environments, providing direct exposure to the studio’s Founding Partners.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience delivering hospitality, healthcare, or large-scale commercial interior projects.
- A designer who is confident working independently on a defined scope but enjoys collaborating within a small, senior-led team.
- Essential Revit experience including BIM coordination and detailed documentation, as this is a hands-on technical role, not purely conceptual.
- Strong design development instincts paired with technical understanding; someone who can sketch a good idea and then detail it.
- A personality suited to a boutique environment: proactive, comfortable with direct access to senior leadership, and unafraid to advocate for design quality in client conversations.
- Genuine enthusiasm for the studio’s dual specialism in hospitality and healthcare, with an interest in wellness-oriented, materially honest design rather than trend-chasing aesthetics.
- Someone who thrives on variety, from a desert resort villa to a hospital chemotherapy suite, enjoying the technical and conceptual range required.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage defined project areas or packages, from design development through to technical documentation.
- Coordinate directly with consultants and suppliers to resolve design and technical issues in real time.
- Produce high-quality technical drawing packages, specifications, and client-ready presentations.
- Apply Revit for BIM coordination and detailed documentation, ensuring accuracy and consistency across drawing sets.
- Balance creative ambition with project budgets, operational requirements (particularly important in hospitality and healthcare), and client expectations.
- Contribute design development ideas that reflect the studio’s minimalist, wellness-focused design language.
Benefits
- 17,000 - 25,000 AED salary.
- Flights.
- Healthcare.
- Ideal candidates will have thrived in larger corporate practices but seek more creative ownership and direct access to senior leadership with variety across hospitality and healthcare sectors.
