Job Description

We are looking for candidates for the role of AWS Data Engineer, based in Downtown Toronto with a hybrid work schedule of 2-3 days in the office. This position is a 6+ months contract that may extend up to 2 years, requiring a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have 10-11+ years of hands-on experience in AWS data engineering and real-time messaging/streaming technologies.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have strong practical experience with the following technologies:

• AWS Glue (PySpark/Python)
• Amazon S3
• AWS Lambda
• Amazon Redshift
• Amazon DynamoDB
• Amazon Kinesis and/or Apache Kafka
• Apache Airflow
• SQL
• Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK or Terraform)

We are specifically looking for individual contributors who can hit the ground running and deliver hands-on technical work. The role is not intended for lead or managerial profiles. Proven experience designing, developing, and supporting production-grade AWS data platforms is essential.
