Job Description

As a Salesforce Developer, you’ll be responsible for the development, design, and implementation of customizable solutions within Salesforce, tailored to meet the CRM needs for the Michigan Enterprise Contact Center team at the Department of Technology, Management, and Budget.

Job Duties

• Work with colleagues, customers, and end users to define technical requirements for new projects and enhancements.
• Ensure technical requirements align with established customer requirements and performance goals, in line with client’s long-term strategy.
• Take ownership of release cycles to implement and deploy new updates to existing applications and code.
• Maintain overall technical responsibility for project environments.
• Compile internal development guidelines/standards and ensure adherence by the development team.
• Collaborate with Developers of other systems for business integration.
• Ensure proposed solutions adhere to SOM security guidelines throughout the application lifecycle.
• Communicate strategic technical concepts at an executive level and act as a trusted voice in decision-making.
• Devise a training plan for the development team ensuring a smooth transition to Maintenance & Operations.
• Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Salesforce Expertise

• Strong knowledge and experience with Service Cloud and Experience Cloud.
• Participation in all phases of Salesforce.com lifecycle implementations.
• In-depth understanding of Salesforce capabilities and constraints.
• Hands-on experience in Apex programming, Visualforce, Apex triggers, Aura Components, and Lightning Web Components.
• Knowledge in implementing solutions using configurations (no-code) such as Flows, Process Builders, and Workflow Rules.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with cloud-based and on-premises applications using standard/custom REST APIs.
• Proficiency in core web technologies (HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, and web services).
• Hands-on experience implementing authentication protocols (OAuth) for third-party integrations.
• Successful implementation of Batch Apex and/or Scheduled Apex development.
• Ownership of all End-to-End technical aspects involving data migrations, systems integrations, and custom development.
• Define and manage technical change management processes for Salesforce efforts.
• Assess Salesforce.com architecture and provide secure, high-performance solutions on the Force.com platform.
• Design and document technical architecture solutions spanning multiple platforms.
• Support SFDX development and code deployment activities using Azure DevOps CI/CD process.
• Identify risks and issues from a technical perspective.

Requirements

Required Skills

6+ years:

• Strong Salesforce development experience.

5+ years:

• Experience working with Service Cloud.
• Experience with Salesforce Digital Experience Sites.
• Experience with GoMeddo Scheduling customization or equivalent.
• Experience with Conga Composer.

4+ years:

• Experience developing on the Salesforce platform using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura, HTML5, and JavaScript.

3+ years:

• Hands-on experience with Salesforce Lightning, including LWC.

Demonstrated hands-on experience with Salesforce, including SFDX and the Salesforce Development Lifecycle. Strong experience migrating from Classic to Lightning, as well as migrating Legacy Visualforce Portals to Digital Experience Sites. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and able to work under dynamic conditions and deadlines.

Desired Skills

5+ years:

• Experience with Service Cloud and/or Health Cloud.

2+ years:

• Experience with API integrations and Single Sign-On (SSO) implementations.

Experience using Microsoft Azure DevOps or similar tools for requirements tracking, CI/CD, or release management is beneficial. Exposure to data migration and cloud integration projects, Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I and Salesforce Certified Administrator, as well as Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II, are also desired.

Additional beneficial experience may include familiarity with governmental processes and compliance, including prior experience with FedRAMP-compliant tools.

Minimum Education

• Bachelor’s Degree.

Location

• Candidate must be within 90 miles of Lansing at the time of submission.
• Hybrid schedule with NO REMOTE ONLY OPTION; onsite from day 1, two days a week (Tuesday/Wednesday).
• Working hours are Monday-Friday, approximately 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

• Must undergo a background check and drug screening for employment.

Employment Terms

• This is a W2 position.
• 40 hours per week.
• Hybrid schedule; NO REMOTE ONLY OPTION; onsite from day 1, two days a week (Tuesday/Wednesday).
