Job Description

This role manages marketing programs, annual events, facility updates and provides design support using available software, prior designs, and branding guidelines. This is a part-time, in-person role that works closely with professional staff and student employees to ensure clear, consistent communication across the office.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

• Administrative or technical knowledge typically acquired through an associate or bachelor’s degree.
• One to three years of experience in administrative support, communications, marketing, or a related area.
• Will consider a minimum of HS diploma or GED/equivalent plus more than 5-7 years of experience.

Additional Considerations: (If applicable)

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express, or similar platforms).
• Experience with social media content creation and platform management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Ability to learn and effectively use new software systems with training, including student organization and website management platforms.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, student-centered environment.
• Ability to work in person during scheduled office hours.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, faculty, staff, administrators, and community partners.
• Experience working in a higher education or student affairs setting.
• Familiarity with marketing, communications, or event promotion.
• Experience coordinating orders or working with vendors.
• Experience working in a fast-paced office environment and understanding the importance of confidentiality.
• Experience in supervising student employees.
