This is a remote position.

Engagement: Contract, 3 months, extension possible subject to funding

Location: Fully remote

Work hours: UK hours

About the role: UK Client is building a web-based Flutter MVP for a platform that handles financial data, so security and reliability are central. The immediate focus is shipping the web MVP, with Android and iOS versions planned later. This is a hands-on delivery role working directly with the client’s technical lead.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Build and ship the web-based Flutter MVP to release quality
• Implement clean, maintainable state management using Riverpod
• Integrate secure RESTful APIs for financial data, using tools such as Retrofit for backend interaction
• Write Golden tests to keep widget UI consistent across changes
• Work closely with the technical lead on reviews and onboarding
• Structure the codebase to support future Android and iOS builds

Must-have Skills

• 5 to 10 years of professional software development experience
• Minimum 5 years hands-on Flutter
• Strong command of Riverpod for state management
• Proven experience building and consuming secure RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with Retrofit (or equivalent) for backend interaction
• Practical use of Golden tests for widget UI regression
• Comfortable working with sensitive financial data
• Strong written and spoken English

Nice to Have

• Experience building MVPs in a startup or bootstrapped setting
• Fintech or financial services background
• Track record taking a web Flutter app through to mobile

This role is focused on the shipping of a web MVP, with future plans to develop Android and iOS versions. The successful candidate will need to interact closely with the technical lead to ensure the project’s success.
