Job Description

The Shade Room is seeking an experienced temporary AI Social Video Producer to lead hands-on creative and production work for a multi-phase, high-priority content innovation initiative for a project up to 6 months. This role will support TSR’s Content teams by leveraging proven experience in creating AI-enabled social and video content to help internal teams build fluency with the technology. The producer will be responsible for transforming TSR-approved creative briefs into platform-native content, testing and refining prompts and workflows, while also documenting production practices.

Requirements

What you’ll do:

• Write, develop, edit, and produce engaging, high-quality content for social media platforms such as Instagram, X, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.
• Create AI-generated and AI-assisted social/content while translating creative concepts into effective outputs.
• Stay informed on news, cultural moments, and social trends to generate timely original content.
• Develop content that reflects The Shade Room’s voice and storytelling standards, adapting for each platform.
• Test, edit, and refine content based on direction, audience response, and performance.
• Collaborate with various teams to support AI-assisted content development across digital media.
• Maintain organized production files and document techniques for repeatable practices.
• Stay updated on AI capabilities, content formats, and social platforms to enhance production workflows.
• Apply established guidelines to content development while overseeing quality and compliance.
• Manage multiple assignments and quick-turnaround requests with a focus on quality and detail.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Strong understanding of Black culture and familiarity with The Shade Room’s brand and content style.
• Hands-on experience producing AI-generated or AI-assisted social and video content, preferably with OpenAI tools.
• Understanding of social media best practices and platform-native storytelling.
• Strong creative-development skills for translating briefs into compelling outputs.
• Ability to write and self-edit in a tone appealing to The Shade Room’s core demographic.
• Working knowledge of short-form video production and editing.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills for managing priorities in a quick-turnaround environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot creative and technical challenges while adapting to evolving technology.
• Stay updated on industry trends, AI tools, and compliance requirements.

Education and Experience:
Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience in social video, digital content production, or a comparable field is preferred. A portfolio demonstrating hands-on AI-generated visual and/or video work is required. Experience with publishers, media organizations, or entertainment brands is strongly preferred. Equivalent practical experience may substitute for formal education.

Additional Information

Duration: This is a six-month temporary assignment with a tentative start date of August 31, 2026. There is no guarantee of an extension or permanent employment following the assignment. As a temporary employee, your employment and payroll will be administered through TeamPeople, the staffing company.

Pay: $31.25 - $36.06 per hour (Remote within the United States).

Expected hours: 40.0 per week.
