Software Engineer is needed in Gatineau, Canada.
We are seeking a Senior C++/C Software Engineer for a fixed-term, on-site contract in Gatineau, Quebec, through the end of Q1 2027. You will join a telecommunications client’s call-handling platform team to migrate virtual machines from CentOS 7 to Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 and upgrade 32-bit C++ subsystems to 64-bit architecture.
You will support system testing and releases, update CI/CD and DevOps tooling, modernise Java-based web configurators, and carry out security testing and remediation. Applicants should have at least five years of C++ development and Linux/bash scripting experience, plus strong knowledge of networking, virtualisation, and security. Experience with high-availability real-time systems, Linux migrations, Python, Java, C#, TeamCity, Perforce, Jenkins, GitHub, or telephony infrastructure is beneficial. You must be legally entitled to work in Canada and able to work on-site in Gatineau.
