Job Description

Justice Technology Services (JTS) is seeking a Senior Software Developer with over 10 years of software development experience to support its Corrections Systems Portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, coding, unit testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and break/fix support of enterprise web and desktop applications. The role involves translating business requirements and functional specifications into secure, scalable, reliable, and fully tested applications using various technologies including Microsoft Azure, .NET, C#, MVC, Entity Framework, ReactJS, HTML5, and others.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise web and desktop applications.
• Translate business requirements and functional specifications into working, tested software solutions.
• Perform coding, unit testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and break/fix support.
• Develop secure, stable, scalable, and high-performing applications using Microsoft Azure and .NET technologies.
• Design and implement full lifecycle application solutions using C#, MVC, Entity Framework, ReactJS, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Azure services.
• Develop and maintain solutions using Azure Web Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, Azure DevOps, Azure SQL Database, and SQL Server.
• Develop and maintain DevOps CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment.
• Participate in code reviews and establish best practices for local development and testing.
• Analyze complex application/system issues and develop effective technical solutions with minimal business impact.
• Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders, while maintaining appropriate technical documentation.

Requirements

Mandatory Qualifications – Must Have

• 10+ years of experience in building and maintaining stable, secure, and scalable web and desktop applications.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud and Microsoft .NET technologies and tools.
• Experience with full lifecycle development and implementation using Microsoft Azure, .NET / .NET Core, C#, MVC, Entity Framework, ReactJS, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Demonstrated experience with DevOps CI/CD and developing automated build, testing, and deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• 5+ years of experience with database management systems including Azure SQL Database and/or SQL Server.

Technical Skills

• Microsoft Azure, .NET / .NET Core, C#, MVC, Entity Framework, ReactJS, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Azure DevOps, Azure Web Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps (All Mandatory)
• 5+ years in Database Design & Management (Mandatory)
• Experience in Agile Development, Web Accessibility Standards, Web Security Standards, and Architectural Best Practices (Required)
• Experience with additional technologies like WCF, WPF, XML, TFS, and Visual Studio up to 2022 (Preferred)

Front-End / UI Requirements

• Experience with HTML5, CSS3, XML, JavaScript, ReactJS or similar frameworks, responsive and accessible web application development.
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards and best practices.

Development Methodology

Strong experience working within Agile software development environments, participating effectively in an Agile team, and following best practices for local development and testing.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve technical issues.
• Ability to plan, schedule, execute, monitor, and evaluate technical development activities.

Communication & Teamwork

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Research & Continuous Learning

• Ability to research new technologies and stay current with industry trends in cloud computing and application development.
