Job Description

Bowtie Media is seeking an experienced Charleston-based content creator for an on-location home, design, and lifestyle production connected to House Beautiful on Thursday, October 8, 2026. The assignment includes capturing polished vertical video and photography to create finished, social-first assets shortly after the shoot. The selected creator will follow a creative brief and brand guidance, while also identifying spontaneous moments that enhance the content.

Requirements

• Professional experience creating short-form social video and photography
• Portfolio demonstrating polished vertical content
• Experience working with interiors, architecture, home, luxury, hospitality, food, fashion, or lifestyle brands
• Strong understanding of composition, lighting, camera movement, and visual storytelling
• Ability to create engaging content rather than simply documenting events
• Comfortable directing on-camera subjects
• Ability to capture clean dialogue in active environments
• Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or comparable editing software
• Photo-editing experience using Lightroom, Photoshop, or comparable tools
• Strong file-management and organizational skills
• Clear, professional, and responsive communication
• Ability to meet tight deadlines for uploads and edits
• Access to professional camera and production kit for vertical video and photography
• Access to appropriate stabilization, lighting, and audio equipment
• Based in Charleston or able to work locally on October 8, 2026

Preferred Experience

• Experience with luxury interiors, designer showhouses, and premium home brands
• Editorial, event, or experiential content experience
• Comfort with capturing dynamic environments and conducting brief interviews
• Ability to create multiple social assets in one day

Compensation

Project fee ranges from $600 to $1,000, determined by production schedule, creator experience, equipment, and deliverables. Reasonable pre-approved local expenses will be reimbursed separately.

Contractor Relationship

This is a project-based independent contractor assignment. The selected creator will be required to sign a project agreement before work begins.
