Job Description

This is a remote position for a Senior Application Programmer (Power Platform Developer) working on a project identified as LA OTS for the State of Louisiana, Division of Administration Office of Technology Services (OTS). The contract duration is set for 2 years, with a tentative start date of 10/05/2026 and an application deadline of 09/21/2026.

Project Overview: The OTS aims to recognize cost savings by consolidating State IT assets and resources, leading the technology procurement process to standardize technology across the organization, and seeking efficiencies in operations.

Duties/Responsibilities include:

• Application Development & Solution Design: Design, build, and maintain Power Platform solutions, translating business requirements into technical solutions, and training in-house developers.
• Integration & Architecture: Integrate Power Platform solutions with various Microsoft services and external systems, applying best practices for performance and scalability.
• Governance, Security & Compliance: Implement security strategies and ensure solutions comply with standards and regulations.
• Collaboration & Leadership: Work with stakeholders and provide guidance to junior developers.
• Innovation & Emerging Capabilities: Evaluate new Power Platform features and design AI solutions.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.

Required Experience:

• 5+ years developing solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, RDBMS, Data verse, and Power BI.
• 5+ years understanding application lifecycle management, environment strategies, security, and SQL queries.
• 5+ years gathering requirements and translating them into technical designs, with the ability to work independently across multiple projects.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with Copilot Studio or conversational AI platforms.
• Experience in government or regulated environments.
• Experience with MS SQL Server.
• Familiarity with Dynamics 365, Azure services, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Microsoft certifications like Power Platform Developer or Solution Architect.
