This is a remote position.

Role: AI Engineer

Workplace Type: Remote

Time Zone: PST Hours

Number of Positions: 2

Rate to Candidate: CAD 65-70/hr + HST

The AI Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing end-to-end pipelines for deploying models for batch, real-time, and streaming inference. Key responsibilities include packaging and deploying ML/AI models as scalable, secure services integrated with enterprise applications and APIs, building and integrating Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions, managing model versioning and lifecycle transitions, and building CI/CD pipelines for AI/ML workflows using various tools. The role also involves automating model training and validation workflows, operationalizing AI workloads on Azure Databricks, and ensuring compliance with security controls and monitoring requirements.

Requirements

Key requirements for the AI Engineer role include:

• Experience in designing and implementing model deployment pipelines for batch, real-time, and streaming inference.
• Proficiency in packaging and deploying ML/AI models as secure services.
• Knowledge of building and integrating RAG solutions.
• Familiarity with model versioning, promotion, rollback, and lifecycle management.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins, and Databricks.
• Ability to automate training, validation, deployment, and retraining workflows.
• Expertise in operationalizing AI workloads on Azure Databricks.
• Integration experience with Azure services such as Azure ML, Azure Data Lake, Synapse, and API Management.
• Knowledge of implementing RBAC and security controls.
• Experience with model monitoring, drift detection, and performance metrics.
• Ensuring high availability, resilience, and operational readiness of AI services.
