Job Description

The Freelance Videographer is a one day, on-site contract role based in Sacramento, CA. This role focuses solely on footage capture; no editing or post-production work is required. The Videographer will operate the camera on set and direct the client through the shoot (blocking, delivery, and performance) to ensure the footage aligns with brand guidelines and campaign objectives. The client will be a regular business owner, not a professional on-camera talent, so the Videographer must create a comfortable environment and coach the client for a natural, confident delivery. Raw footage will be handed off to Advanced Marketers’ internal team for editing after the shoot. Successful shoots may lead to ongoing recruitment for future projects.

Requirements

• Strong video production skills, specifically shooting and running a set independently.
• Proficiency in camera operation and working confidently with various camera systems.
• Demonstrated ability in shooting video for marketing, social media, and branded content.
• Comfortable directing everyday business clients on camera, coaching delivery and performance in real-time.
• Portfolio showcasing previous video work in commercial, marketing, or agency environments.
• Excellent time management, organization, and on-set communication skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Sacramento, CA for a single-day shoot.
• Relevant education or training in film, media production, or a related field is a plus.
• Experience in digital marketing or working with creative/marketing teams is beneficial.

Compensation

Compensation is $250 to $300 for the day, based on experience, with potential for future shoots based on performance. Pay rate is $250.00 - $300.00 per day.

Work Location

This role requires in-person attendance in Sacramento, CA.
