Job Description

This is a remote position. ElitevoraSys is a modern engineering consultancy that helps clients build reliable platforms, automation pipelines, and data-driven systems. Our teams value clean architecture, practical engineering, and a collaborative mindset. We’re hiring a Senior Software Engineer (Python) to join our consulting engineering group. You’ll work across multiple client projects, build backend services, design APIs, and contribute to modernization efforts using FastAPI, Django, and other Python frameworks. This role is ideal for an experienced backend engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, building scalable APIs, and working in a fast-moving consulting environment.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python 3 and production-grade REST APIs.
• Experience with FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
• Solid SQL skills: relational modeling, indexing, query optimization.
• Experience with ORMs and migration tools (SQLAlchemy, Alembic, Django ORM).
• Comfort working with asynchronous Python (asyncio).
• Strong testing discipline with pytest.
• Ability to work independently in a consulting environment with multiple clients.
• Working knowledge of TypeScript and a modern frontend framework.

Preferred

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Background in workflow automation, enterprise integrations, or operational software.
• Experience with data processing tools (pandas, Airflow, Prefect).

What You’ll Do

Backend Engineering

• Design, build, and maintain backend services using Python 3, FastAPI, and Django.
• Develop REST APIs, authentication flows, and service-to-service integrations.
• Implement relational schemas, migrations, and optimized queries using PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
• Work with ORMs such as SQLAlchemy, Django ORM, and migration tools like Alembic.

Systems & Integrations

• Integrate with third-party APIs, enterprise systems, and cloud services.
• Build background workers, task queues, and automation pipelines (Celery, RQ, asyncio).
• Maintain and refactor legacy Python codebases while delivering new features.

Quality & Delivery

• Write maintainable, well-tested code using pytest and modern testing practices.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning.
• Collaborate with product owners and client stakeholders to deliver features in iterative cycles.
• Contribute to documentation, API specs, and internal engineering standards.

Optional Frontend Contribution

• Support frontend teams with API contracts and occasional TypeScript/React/Angular contributions.
• Help ensure smooth integration between backend services and client-facing UIs.
