Job Description

This is a remote position for a Digital Marketing Specialist at a Melbourne-based plumbing, flood restoration and renovation business. The role involves taking full ownership of day-to-day marketing activities, working closely with the Director and Business Manager, and planning, creating, executing, and analyzing marketing campaigns across various platforms. The ideal candidate will be a capable marketing all-rounder who is creative, commercially aware, and highly independent. They will manage their own workload with regular check-ins, propose campaign ideas, and analyze what is working in marketing efforts.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

• 3-4 years of relevant digital marketing experience preferred; exceptional candidates with strong portfolios may also be considered.
• Hands-on experience in content creation, copywriting, graphic design, email marketing, and social media management.
• Proficient in Canva for creating social, email, and print assets with basic photo/video editing skills.
• Experience with Meta (Facebook and Instagram) for organic content and paid advertising.
• Hands-on experience with Mailchimp for email campaigns; experience with comparable platforms is acceptable.
• Comfortable working with CRM/customer data for extracting information and building segmented marketing lists; experience with AroFlo is not required as training will be provided.
• Able to interpret campaign data and communicate insights clearly.
• Fluent in professional written and spoken English with excellent attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working independently with limited supervision.
• Proactive in generating original campaign ideas and comfortable with KPIs related to lead generation and engagement.
• Experience in trades or home services would be a bonus but is not essential; knowledge of SEO and/or Google Ads is advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities

• Source customer data from AroFlo and maintain segmented marketing lists.
• Design and execute re-engagement campaigns for past customers.
• Plan, create, and schedule content for Instagram and Facebook.
• Manage end-to-end Meta paid advertising campaigns.
• Build and manage Mailchimp campaigns and maintain list hygiene.
• Create marketing assets and perform photo/video editing in Canva or similar tools.
• Analyze performance and suggest improvements after each campaign.
• Provide regular updates through check-ins while independently managing priorities.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Re-engagement rates of past customers and conversion of dormant customers.
• Performance of email campaigns, including open and click rates.
• Social media output, engagement, and audience growth.
• Lead generation and tracking from marketing activities.
• Database hygiene and accuracy of CRM/marketing lists.

Interview Process

Shortlisted candidates will be required to share their campaign ideas and explain their approach to re-engaging past trade-services customers. This will assess strategic thinking, creativity, and fit for the role.

Additional Information
