Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Freelance Digital Marketing Assistant Contractor to assist on various marketing projects reporting to our head of Marketing and Co-founder. Tasks include administrative tasks (notes, scheduling, light research, data entry), scheduling, copywriting, social media work, and content planning tasks related to all marketing initiatives. The role is being hired for October 2026 through early January 2027, but for the right fit and should the business require it, there is a potential for growth and more opportunities internally.

This is an exciting opportunity for marketing freelancers looking to gain experience across marketing channels who are do-ers, who can take a good project briefing and run with it, and who are great communicators as all work will be done remotely. This person must be a self-starter, as once briefed, they will work largely independently to complete tasks, given the tools and context. They are a problem solver and critical thinker, and keeps projects moving forward.

Duties

• Supports all major seasonal marketing strategies; assisting co-founder directly with marketing admin tasks, content planning/writing, reporting, and more.
• Supports organic social media platforms and follows guardrails for posting.
• Supports all vendor relationships - status updates, next steps and follow ups.
• Supports copywriting for marketing and activity including but not limited to: Email, social, SMS, paid ads, captions, PR, briefs for agency partners, and website copywriting (product names, descriptions, and more).
• Conducts light research for: client work, inventory, and competitive research.
• Helps support merchandising initiatives for website and inventory.
• Updates key marketing materials as needed.
• Supports new business proposals for client work.

Experience

• Experience in an administrative or marketing role or department.
• Experience with Klaviyo, Google Analytics, and Shopify, Canva preferred.
• Copywriting experience preferred.
• AI experience for marketing copywriting a plus.

Requirements

• Must have independent access to a computer and internet access.
• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Positive attitude and team player.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay: $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 30.0 per week
