Job Description

This is a remote position at Archive, which is assembling a team to build a bilingual digital platform for a nonprofit organization. Each role has one planned assignment, with specialist involvement as needed, and qualified candidates may cover more than one role. The client’s internal team is responsible for product, business project management, UX/design, and English/French content, while Archive handles technical delivery and handover. All candidates should exhibit relevant delivery experience, collaborative working capabilities, and clear documentation. Experience in nonprofit or education sectors is considered an asset.

This contract role involves building the client’s public website and signed-in experience according to the client’s design direction. Tasks include implementing reusable templates, search and filters, event views, dashboards, saved resources, and accessible registration interfaces.

Requirements

- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and a modern component-based framework; the final framework is to be confirmed.

- Experience with headless CMS and API integration, responsive layouts, and reusable components.

- Knowledge of accessible HTML, keyboard interaction, bilingual interfaces, and performance optimization.

- Ability to conduct component testing, secure session handling, and collaborate with UX and back-end teams.

- 5 to 10 years of experience is required.

- Must be available to start within a month.

- This position is open to candidates located in Canada or the USA, with a preference for those in Canada. The client is on the East Coast of Canada, so candidates should be available during standard EST business hours.

- Proficiency in spoken and written English is required, and fluency in spoken and written French is a significant asset.
