Job Description

This is a remote position. Archive is assembling a team to build a bilingual digital platform for a non-profit organization. Each role has one planned assignment, with specialist involvement as needed. Qualified people may cover more than one role.

Client’s internal team leads product, business project management, UX/design and English/French content. Archive leads technical delivery and handover. All candidates should demonstrate relevant delivery experience, collaborative working, and clear documentation. Nonprofit or education experience is an asset.

This contract role will establish and operate the AWS development, test and production environments. Responsibilities include automating deployment and supporting secure access, monitoring, recovery, launch, and the transfer of operational knowledge to the Client.

Requirements

AWS hosting, networking, storage, identity/access management and environment separation.

Infrastructure as code, source control, CI/CD and automated security checks.

Monitoring, alerting, logging, backups, restore testing and deployment rollback.

Performance, cloud-cost management, secrets handling and operational run books.

5 to 10 years of experience required, with availability within a month. The position is located in Canada, is remote, and will remain open until filled.

Must be fluent in spoken and written English; fluency in spoken and written French is a huge asset.

Prefer contractor located in Canada or the USA. Client is on the East Coast of Canada, so candidates must be available during standard EST business hours.
