Job Description

The Marketing & Content Assistant will support the marketing and social media presence of Sisterhood Events, which is focused on creating meaningful and memorable experiences. This part-time remote role requires attending events in the New York/New Jersey/Tri-State area as needed. The Assistant will help create content, promote upcoming events, assist with social media management, capture behind-the-scenes content, and develop creative ideas to attract potential clients and event attendees.

Responsibilities

Social Media

• Assist with managing Sisterhood Events social media platforms.
• Create and schedule posts, Reels, Stories, and other short-form content.
• Help develop content ideas and monthly content calendars.
• Write engaging captions and calls-to-action.
• Research relevant trends, sounds, hashtags, and content ideas.
• Engage with followers and respond to basic comments/messages when appropriate.
• Help maintain a consistent brand voice and visual style.

Event Marketing

• Help promote upcoming Sisterhood Events.
• Create promotional content for events.
• Assist with flyers, announcements, countdowns, and promotional campaigns.
• Help promote ticket sales and event registration.
• Create post-event content to keep the audience engaged.

Event Content

• Capture behind-the-scenes photos and videos during events.
• Capture setup, décor, vendors, guests, activities, and event details.
• Create short-form content for TikTok, Instagram, and other platforms.
• Help identify content opportunities during events.
• Organize photos and video clips after events.

Brand Growth

• Research potential collaborations and marketing opportunities.
• Help identify potential vendors, influencers, creators, and community partners.
• Assist with outreach campaigns when needed.
• Track basic social media performance and engagement.
• Bring new creative ideas to help grow the brand.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of Instagram and TikTok.
• Creative and comfortable creating short-form video.
• Familiar with Canva and basic editing tools such as CapCut.
• Strong communication and writing skills.
• Organized and able to meet deadlines.
• Comfortable being present at events and capturing content.
• Understanding of social media trends and audience engagement.
• Photography/video experience is a plus.
• Marketing, communications, social media, or content creation experience is a plus.

Compensation

This is a per-diem position with flexible scheduling. Compensation will be $15 per hour. Additional opportunities may become available as the business grows.
