Job Description
Aquent is seeking a visionary Designer/Developer to partner with a prestigious educational institution focused on academic excellence and innovative learning experiences. This role is an opportunity to influence the digital presence of the institution by enhancing the online experience for students, faculty, and the community. The position involves collaborating with a web team to bring web concepts to life, refreshing high-priority web pages, and defining the digital landscape for new academic initiatives.
Requirements
Must-Have Qualifications:
- A strong portfolio showcasing expertise in website and digital design.
- Exceptional visual design skills with a focus on layout, typography, usability, and interaction design.
- Hands-on proficiency with HTML and CSS, producing clean and well-structured front-end code.
- Experience designing for and working within Content Management Systems (CMS).
- Ability to collaborate with back-end developers, understanding technical considerations in design implementation.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration and independent work.
- Availability during business hours to support collaboration and project needs.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Significant experience with BigTree CMS.
- Familiarity with other CMS platforms such as WordPress or Drupal.
- Experience with SEO and/or Answer Engine Optimization (AEO).
- Background in educational institutions, healthcare, nonprofit, or non-consumer sectors.
