Job Description

Halogen Engineering Group is looking for a Software Engineer with 2+ years of experience in Linux and Python, and who holds a current TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. The Engineer will be responsible for the development, enhancement, and sustainment of information management software and services for High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems in a Linux environment. Duties include designing, developing, testing, and maintaining complex software systems, reviewing and testing software components, resolving problems, and utilizing appropriate development methodologies.

Requirements

Required Skills:

• Experience using the Linux CLI and tools
• Recent software development experience using Python
• Familiar with automation frameworks including Ansible
• Familiar with SQL technologies including PostgreSQL
• Familiar with CI/CD principles and tools such as GitLab CI
• Familiar with containerization technologies such as Docker
• Experience with Git Source Control System

Desired Skills:

• Familiar with Agile, Scrum, or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
• Familiar with Datacenter Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools such as Netbox
• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline OR
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and 2 years of experience OR
• Four years of experience in relevant programs and contracts

Salary Information

The projected salary range for this position is $170K to $181K (annualized USD), determined by several factors including location, education, skills, and experience.
