Job Description

Help design, build and continuously improve the clients online platform.

Research, suggest and implement new technology solutions following best practices/standards.

Take responsibility for the resiliency and availability of different products.

Be a productive member of the team.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist.
• Develop and enhance simulation models supporting critical airline planning and operational processes.
• Apply optimization algorithms, heuristic approaches, and simulation techniques to solve complex planning challenges.
• Incorporate uncertainty factors, including weather forecasts, into optimization and simulation models.
• Perform data analysis, processing, and visualization to support operational decision-making.
• Develop analytical solutions and simulation models using Python and SimPy or other Discrete Event Simulation frameworks.
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, business analysts, and business stakeholders.
• Clearly communicate complex models, analytical insights, and business value to non-technical stakeholders.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and expansion of the ALIGN simulation platform.
• Work within Agile/Scrum environments and cross-functional teams.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Hands-on experience with SimPy or other Discrete Event Simulation frameworks.
• Strong understanding of optimization algorithms and heuristic approaches.
• Experience with Monte Carlo Simulation.
• Strong skills in data analysis, data processing, and visualization.
• Experience developing simulation models and analytical solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts and insights to non-technical audiences.
• Must Have: Python, SimPy / Discrete Event Simulation, Data Science background, Optimization knowledge.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience in Airline Operations, Planning, Scheduling, or Logistics.
• Agile/Scrum experience.
• Background in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, or Data Science.
