Job Description
Position: Cloud Engineer/Python Developer
Location: Radnor, PA/Winston, NC
Type: Contract to hire
Salary: 60/hr on W2
Schedule: 5 Days Onsite
Overview: We are primarily looking for a cloud engineer with strong Python development experience.
Requirements
Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- At least 8 years of experience developing, deploying, and supporting Python applications in a production environment.
- At least 2 years of experience developing, deploying, and supporting Terraform scripts/CDK in a production environment to build and manage Cloud resources.
- Experience with Boto 3 SDK, Chalice, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, and other frameworks for AWS.
- Demonstrated ability to write scripting/programming languages such as Shell, Ruby, Java, or other equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of AWS Cloud fundamentals including a minimum of 3 years supporting AWS environments in both test and production, with specific experience in: Lambda, API Gateway, S3, Dynamo DB, EC2, Glue, Kinesis, EMR, Glacier, IAM, ELB, VPC, Bash, CDN, and Strong Networking knowledge.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with others.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- AWS Developer Associate Certification is preferred.
- Strong knowledge around monitoring and load testing applications.
- Software development experience in financial services or real estate related industries is a plus.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint).
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
