Job Description

The Dream Opportunity (The DO) is a global nonprofit that helps low-income and minority students develop professional skills and pursue corporate careers, internships, and entry-level opportunities.

We are seeking a personable, organized, adaptable, and enthusiastic event speaker/host to join our growing team. The successful candidate will host virtual events, workshops, and panels in partnership with major companies and industry leaders.

• Host panels and events featuring professionals from major brands.
• Introduce guests and help guide discussions about careers, industries, and participating companies.
• Attend rehearsals and training sessions to prepare for workshops and panels.
• Collaborate with the creative team to improve and develop workshops and panel content.
• Participate in a collaborative, creative, and deadline-driven environment.

Requirements

• Located in the USA, UK, Brazil, India, Mexico, Singapore, or the Philippines.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to speak confidently with corporate employees and students.
• Access to a computer with Zoom and reliable internet connectivity.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Passionate and creative commitment to issues relating to race and identity.
• Open-mindedness and willingness to engage with people from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
• Positive, energetic, personable, and authentic approach.
• Self-motivated, collaborative, and comfortable receiving and applying feedback.
• Availability to work part-time and attend varied shifts.
