Job Description

The Digital Marketing Assistant supports the organization’s day-to-day digital marketing operations, with a primary focus on maintaining accurate, timely, and engaging content across the website and mobile app.

  • Manage and update website and mobile app content, including game coverage, promotions, theme nights, events, ticketing initiatives, community programs, partner activations, team news, and organizational announcements.
  • Schedule and publish digital content supporting marketing campaigns, promotional calendars, game day communications, and fan engagement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to collect, organize, approve, and publish content.
  • Support email marketing activities, including campaign creation, review, testing, and deployment.
  • Coordinate digital assets by collecting, organizing, resizing, and preparing creative materials for websites, apps, email campaigns, and other digital channels.
  • Track content requests, deadlines, approvals, campaign materials, and project updates to ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
  • Assist with basic reporting and the collection of website, app, email, and campaign performance metrics.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on digital campaigns, forms, landing pages, app placements, links, tags, and other fan-facing experiences.
  • Review digital channels for accuracy, functionality, formatting, broken links, outdated information, brand consistency, and opportunities to improve the fan experience.
  • Maintain organized records of content updates, approvals, campaign materials, and digital assets.
  • Collaborate with marketing, communications, creative, ticket sales, corporate partnerships, foundation, game presentation, merchandising, business strategy and analytics, and other departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Entry-level or internship experience in digital marketing, website management, content management, sports, entertainment, live events, media, agency, or consumer brand marketing.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to review content for accuracy, grammar, formatting, links, timing, and quality.
  • Working knowledge of digital marketing metrics, website content management and analytics, email marketing platforms, app engagement reporting, content updates, and digital publishing tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple requests, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to collaborate professionally with cross-functional teams, vendors, and creative partners.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive business, partner, employee, or organizational information.
  • Experience in professional or collegiate sports, live entertainment, or a similar event-related environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of hockey preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and game days.

Physical Demands and Working Environment

The role requires the ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle objects and office tools, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. The employee may occasionally need to lift or move up to 25 pounds.

Required vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The position is primarily performed in an office environment with generally moderate noise levels.
