Contract: Temporary, Part-time
Job Description
The National Domestic Workers Alliance (NDWA) is seeking a Temporary Digital Manager to provide hands-on digital campaign production and project coordination during a staff leave. This is a temporary, execution-focused role supporting established campaign strategies and priorities rather than developing digital strategy.
Reporting to the Digital Director, the role will coordinate with internal teams and chapters to produce timely and accurate email, SMS, and peer-to-peer (P2P) campaigns supporting organizing, advocacy, recruitment, and mobilization efforts.
- Build, quality-assure, schedule, and launch email, SMS, and P2P campaigns.
- Set up campaigns using EveryAction/NGP VAN, Mobile Commons, and platforms such as ThruText or GetThru.
- Build audience segments and apply established targeting criteria.
- Create and manage tracking links, source codes, and related campaign infrastructure.
- Coordinate campaign production from initial request through launch, including gathering assets, tracking approvals, managing deadlines, and following up with stakeholders.
- Review links, audiences, copy, formatting, tracking, and scheduling to ensure campaign accuracy before launch.
- Make straightforward production edits to email and SMS copy.
- Troubleshoot routine platform and campaign issues and escalate complex technical or strategic questions.
- Support recurring national and state/chapter recruitment and mobilization campaigns.
- Maintain organized campaign documentation and communicate clearly about project status, deadlines, questions, and blockers.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience building and sending digital campaigns, especially email and SMS.
- Experience with EveryAction/NGP VAN or a comparable CRM or digital organizing platform.
- Experience with SMS and/or P2P texting platforms; Mobile Commons and ThruText/GetThru experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong project coordination skills and the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously.
- Exceptional attention to detail and comfort using QA processes and checklists.
- Ability to independently take an established campaign plan through production and launch.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write for impacted communities and external audiences.
- Ability to learn established workflows quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to identify and communicate questions, blockers, and potential errors early.
Preferred but not essential:
- Experience with digital organizing, advocacy, political, labor, nonprofit, or membership-based campaigns.
- Familiarity with audience segmentation, source codes, tracking links, UTMs, and campaign reporting.
- Experience analyzing email, SMS, or P2P campaign performance and identifying trends or improvement opportunities.
- Ability to use campaign data to recommend improvements to messaging, targeting, timing, or channel strategy.
- Spanish proficiency.
