Job Description

Hybrid Apparel is a global apparel design, licensing, manufacturing, and distribution company offering fully integrated services across knits, woven tops, bottoms, T-shirts, and accessories. The company promotes innovation, collaboration, integrity, and excellent customer service.

As an Assistant Designer, you will support the Design team with presentations, sample execution, artwork preparation, product development, and day-to-day administrative tasks. You will help maintain sample flow, organize design resources, and support the team in meeting development deadlines while building an understanding of the apparel development process.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting design presentations and creating silhouette sketches in Adobe Illustrator.
• Manipulating photos for photorealistic presentations.
• Tagging, photographing, shipping, and tracking samples.
• Creating swatch cards and swatch rings.
• Entering styles and data into the PLM system, including bills of materials for development and production.
• Preparing print artwork, submitting requests, sizing artwork, and specifying colors on art CADs.
• Assisting with art coding and CAD revisions.
• Maintaining files, fabric and color books, and other design resources.
• Managing the movement of samples into and out of the Design room.
• Monitoring the design calendar and supporting deadline management.

Requirements

• Previous experience working on a Design team, preferably with a focus on Women’s and Juniors apparel.
• A two- or four-year degree in Fashion Design, Merchandising, Textiles, Fine Art, or a related field.
• A portfolio is required.
• Strong understanding of color, style, and current trends.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent attention to detail and follow-up skills.
• Knowledge of garment construction and fabrics.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
