Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to support application development, technical solution delivery, and mainframe application operations. The role involves translating business needs into technical requirements, analyzing and documenting system requirements, and developing solutions that support business objectives.

• Interpret operational results, analyze usage patterns, and establish system utilization schedules and procedures.
• Maintain reports and reporting tools supporting traffic management, service centers, and enterprise partners.
• Collaborate with internal and external organizations to develop solutions for current and anticipated technical needs.
• Analyze, define, and document requirements for data, workflows, logical processes, hardware, operating systems, interfaces, controls, and outputs.
• Provide cost and time estimates for assigned work packages to support project plans and delivery timelines.
• Coordinate solution coding, testing, integration, implementation, and documentation.
• Perform activities required to ensure technical availability and operational stability.
• Act as a technical subject matter expert for solutions that may affect dependent projects and applications.

Requirements

Must-Have Requirements

• 8–10 years of relevant experience, including 10+ years of hands-on mainframe experience.
• At least 5 years of mainframe application support experience.
• Strong experience with mainframe application development, particularly DB2.
• Proficiency with z/OS, MVS, TSO, and ISPF.
• Experience with JCL, IMS/DC, CICS, DB2, VSAM, and COBOL.
• Experience with ZEKE, File-AID or File Manager, and IDz.
• Experience with GitHub, Jenkins, and UCD.
• Experience scheduling mainframe batch jobs using tools such as CA7 and BMC Control-M.
• Experience with SoapUI.

Nice-to-Have Requirements

• Experience with MQ, WAS, SPUFI, XPEDITER, REXX, and CLIST.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and OnDemand.
• At least 3 years of Windows Server experience.
• Experience with DVM and WinSCP.
