Job Description

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to support mission-critical systems involving distributed architectures, low-latency telecommunications processing, high availability, and network management software.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a systems engineering team to support a major customer program. Responsibilities include integrating and deploying network management software, interfacing with third-party data collection streams, and developing automated workflows for the deployment, configuration, and monitoring of hardware and software systems.

The role also involves configuring and remotely managing test and laboratory equipment, troubleshooting systems and performing root cause analysis, and collaborating with hardware and software development teams on requirements, integration, and testing activities.

The engineer will help enhance continuous integration, automated deployment, log collection and analysis, and hardware and software monitoring capabilities. The role offers opportunities to adopt new technologies, contribute innovative solutions, and mentor and guide junior engineers.

Requirements

• More than five years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, ideally supporting integrated hardware and software solutions in networking and communications environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience in IT systems and engineering.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, best practices, and risk management.
• Ability to learn, evaluate, select, and integrate new technologies independently.
• Ability and interest in mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
• Experience designing and implementing automated software deployments, network configurations, and telecommunications integrations.
• Experience with hardware and software monitoring, reporting, system upgrades, troubleshooting, maintenance, security, and performance improvement.
• Ability to develop conceptual, functional, and physical designs for complex, high-availability mission-critical systems.
• Experience producing and reviewing technical documentation, including system layouts, configuration documentation, design reviews, deployment procedures, and automated workflows.
• Ability to take ownership of engineering deliverables and ensure technical compliance with program requirements.
• Strong collaboration skills when working with program management, hardware and software development, test engineering, field engineering, systems engineering, and production teams.
• Willingness to participate in on-site customer deployments, system integration, and customer testing activities.
