Job Description
Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking a detail-oriented Capture Artist for a temporary four-month contract supporting marketing, promotional, in-game, and social media content.
The Capture Artist will capture high-quality gameplay footage and screenshots that showcase game features, mechanics, modes, and player experiences. The role involves staging gameplay scenarios from creative briefs, composing compelling shots, and working efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Capture gameplay footage and screenshots across multiple game modes and scenarios.
- Create visually compelling content aligned with creative and marketing requirements.
- Work with debug game builds, camera controls, capture hardware, and recording devices.
- Configure recording settings and troubleshoot game, hardware, and software issues.
- Organize, name, track, and distribute captured assets to on-site and remote editorial teams.
- Maintain records of game builds, capture settings, and content requests.
- Collaborate with producers, creative directors, developers, marketing, and editorial teams.
- Participate in capture planning sessions and creative reviews.
- Communicate progress, challenges, and asset status to stakeholders.
- Ensure all deliverables meet quality and technical standards.
Requirements
- Experience working with debug game builds and camera controls.
- General computer proficiency with Mac and PC systems.
- Strong understanding of video game mechanics, visual storytelling, and production workflows.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow creative direction.
- Strong organizational and digital asset management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Ability to troubleshoot capture-related hardware, software, and game build issues.
- Comfort working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive, productive, and team-oriented attitude.
- Familiarity with Adobe Premiere and Media Encoder is a plus.
