Job Description

One Room Payday is seeking a Nashville-based Content Director to lead short-form content strategy and production across TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. The company teaches working-class women how to generate housing income by renting rooms to veterans.

The Content Director will collaborate closely with the founder to create engaging, on-brand content that expands the company’s reach and supports its mission.

• Develop and execute content strategies for TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
• Direct in-person filming sessions with the founder two to three times per week.
• Travel to student homes throughout Middle Tennessee to film testimonials and house tours.
• Edit content or manage editors producing 30–50+ short-form videos per week.
• Manage the content calendar and posting schedule.
• Monitor content performance and provide insights and recommendations.
• Source and manage UGC creators as needed.
• Maintain fresh, culturally relevant, on-brand, and engaging content.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience creating short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, or similar platforms.
• Ability to film and edit content, or effectively manage editors.
• Strong understanding of viral content, audience engagement, and social media trends.
• Experience working with coaches, personal brands, influencers, or founder-led businesses.
• Comfort directing on-camera talent and leading filming sessions.
• Self-directed, organized, and able to work independently without micromanagement.
• Cultural awareness and understanding of the target audience: Black and Latina working-class women aged 32–48.
• Based in Nashville or able to travel there regularly.
• Access to personal filming equipment; phone-first equipment is acceptable, with DSLR experience preferred.
• Ability to drive to student homes across Middle Tennessee.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience running or managing Meta ads.
• Knowledge of the coaching or online-course industry.
• Previous experience supporting a founder-led business.

Pay: $35 per hour

Expected hours: 20 hours per week
