Job Description

We are seeking skilled freelance Audio Visual Technicians to support events at venues, hotels, event spaces, and the company warehouse. The role involves setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting audio-visual and event equipment to ensure smooth event execution.

Technicians may work across lighting, audio, video, and decor services, including breakout sessions, warehouse preparation, equipment pulling and packing, deliveries, returns, and onsite event support. The role also involves communicating with clients and venue staff, collaborating with other technicians, and making decisions onsite when required.

Requirements

• Experience executing audio-visual and decor setups.
• Skilled in at least one area: lighting, audio, video, or decor.
• Experience supporting audio-visual breakout sessions.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and diagrams.
• Ability to troubleshoot and work with common AV equipment.
• Experience with SFX and other common event equipment preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with clients and venue staff.
• Ability to make effective onsite decisions.
• Reliable, punctual, self-motivated, and quality-focused work ethic.
• Strong independent time-management skills.
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle required.
• Ability to travel between the warehouse and event locations.
• Ability to drive a company van preferred; experience driving a 16-foot box truck preferred and a 26-foot box truck is optional.
• Flexible availability based on event volume and scheduling needs.

Employment Details

• Job types: Contract and freelance.
• Pay: $20.00–$30.00 per hour.
• Work location: In person.
• Out-of-state opportunities may be available but are not required.
• Hours vary according to event requirements.
