Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Remote Website Developer to design, build, and maintain responsive, user-friendly, and visually appealing websites and web applications. The role involves developing front-end and back-end functionality, integrating APIs and databases, customizing content management systems, and ensuring strong performance, security, accessibility, and technical SEO.

• Develop and maintain websites and web applications across browsers and mobile devices.
• Write clean, maintainable HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and back-end code.
• Integrate APIs, databases, and other third-party services.
• Customize CMS platforms such as WordPress, Webflow, and Shopify using custom themes and plugins.
• Optimize website performance, loading speed, scalability, and user experience.
• Apply technical SEO, WCAG accessibility, and modern web security best practices.
• Perform cross-browser testing, troubleshoot issues, and resolve bugs.
• Collaborate asynchronously with UI/UX designers, content creators, and product managers to deliver projects on schedule.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript ES6+, and modern CSS frameworks such as Tailwind CSS or Bootstrap.
• Experience with server-side technologies such as Node.js, PHP, or Python.
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Hands-on experience with WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, or similar CMS platforms.
• Proficiency with Git and GitHub for version control.
• Familiarity with design and prototyping tools such as Figma or Adobe XD.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Excellent self-discipline and the ability to work independently across time zones.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating web development projects and custom coding solutions.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or Next.js.
• Familiarity with web hosting, DNS configuration, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience setting up web analytics tools such as Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager.
