Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Software Developer – CRM to support the Government Services Integration Cluster within the Ontario Public Service. The role focuses on designing, developing, integrating, testing, deploying, and supporting CRM solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Dataverse, Azure, .NET, C#, JavaScript, and related Microsoft technologies.
The successful candidate will translate technical specifications into fully functional, tested, documented, and maintainable applications. They will work throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with IT professionals, business stakeholders, and subject matter experts.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate technical specifications into working applications and develop detailed technical designs and programming specifications.
- Design, configure, develop, test, debug, document, deploy, maintain, migrate, and support applications.
- Develop low-code and custom solutions using Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Dataverse, Azure, .NET/C#, JavaScript, and related Microsoft technologies.
- Configure and develop Dynamics 365 Customer Service Workspace, including case management, knowledge management, agent experience profiles, session templates, workstreams, routing, and related capabilities.
- Design and implement integrations between Dynamics 365 and other Microsoft cloud technologies.
- Develop custom Web APIs, ASP.NET/.NET Core applications, Entity Framework solutions, Azure SQL integrations, PCF controls, and Liquid-based server-side templates.
- Participate in Agile development using Kanban, task boards, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Troubleshoot issues related to implementation, operations, conversion, migration, and application support.
- Conduct impact assessments, design walkthroughs, technical reviews, and quality assurance activities.
- Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
- Prepare technical specifications, reports, assessments, user documentation, and system documentation.
- Provide post-implementation support, technical leadership, and ongoing application maintenance.
- Ensure solutions meet organizational accessibility standards, including AODA requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
Requirements
Mandatory Technical Skills
- Senior-level software development, programming, and software analysis experience.
- Agile methodologies, including Kanban, task boards, and DevOps practices.
- Solution design using Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Azure.
- Dynamics 365 interoperability and integration with Microsoft cloud technologies.
- Low-code and custom Dynamics 365 development experience.
- Dynamics 365 Customer Service Workspace, including agent experience profiles, session templates, workstreams, routing, case management, knowledge management, and workspace configuration.
- Dataverse design and development.
- Microsoft Power Apps, including Model-Driven Apps, Power Pages, and Canvas Apps.
- Azure development and cloud-based solution delivery.
- .NET, C#, JavaScript, ASP.NET/.NET Core, Entity Framework, and Azure SQL.
- Custom Web API development and Microsoft cloud integrations.
- Custom PCF control development.
- Liquid server-side templating.
- CI/CD pipeline development and automated deployment.
- Experience working across SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS service models.
General Software Development Requirements
- Structured methodologies for application design, development, implementation, and maintenance.
- Object-oriented and/or third-generation programming languages.
- Application architecture, design patterns, deployment, and troubleshooting.
- Relational and hierarchical databases, query languages, and information retrieval technologies.
- Communications protocols, middleware, gateway technologies, and application integrations.
- Internet-ready and data-driven application development.
- Rapid Application Development methodologies and unit testing.
- Installation script review, modification, encoding, testing, and debugging.
- Application conversion, migration, and post-implementation support.
- Experience conducting design walkthroughs and preparing user and system documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or Azure certifications.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft cloud architecture and services.
- Experience integrating Dynamics 365 with Azure and other Microsoft cloud technologies.
- Knowledge of information management principles, policies, and practices.
- Knowledge of AODA and related accessibility regulations and standards.
- Experience providing technical leadership and overseeing technical quality assurance.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, meet deadlines, and contribute to a team environment.
Communication Requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prepare clear technical documentation, reports, reviews, and assessments.
- Ability to present technical recommendations to technical and business audiences.

Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a senior Dynamics 365/CRM Developer with hands-on experience in Dynamics 365 Customer Service, Power Platform, Azure, Dataverse, .NET/C#, JavaScript, Web APIs, ASP.NET/.NET Core, Entity Framework, Azure SQL, DevOps, and CI/CD.
The candidate should be comfortable combining low-code and custom development approaches, designing Microsoft cloud integrations, and delivering sophisticated Dynamics 365 Customer Service solutions.
Contract and Additional Information
- Location: Toronto, Ontario
- Work arrangement: 100% onsite
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, excluding lunch
- Contract term: September 21, 2026 to March 31, 2027
- Extension: Up to one additional term
- Openings: 1
- Clearance: No clearance required
