Job Description

CSols Canada is seeking a LabWare Developer Consultant to join its remote technical team. The role will lead the technical implementation, customization, integration, and enhancement of LabWare Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) for laboratory clients across Canada.

The successful candidate will work with client subject matter experts, business analysts, and project managers to translate laboratory requirements into scalable, reliable, and validated technical solutions. The role involves working independently in a remote environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities.

• Design, develop, unit test, and deploy LabWare LIMS solutions using recognized programming standards and software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
• Implement and integrate LabWare modules, including ELN v3, Charge Manager, Enhanced Visual Workflows, and Plate Manager.
• Configure and support instrument interfaces to enable reliable, automated data capture.
• Develop prototypes and deliver customized analysis and reporting functionality.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, debug errors, and improve existing LIMS configurations and processes.
• Participate in technical reviews, project meetings, and client engagements.
• Balance competing priorities while delivering high-quality solutions within project deadlines.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on technical experience with LabWare LIMS versions 7 and 8.
• Deep experience with LabWare Industry Template Solutions, such as Pharma Template or Public Health.
• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline, such as Chemistry or Biology, Information Systems, or equivalent practical industry experience.
• Experience with SDLC methodologies, instrument interfacing, and ELN integrations; ELN v3 experience is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to undertake limited travel.
