Job Description

The Government Services Integration Cluster within the Ontario Public Service is seeking a Senior Software Developer – CRM to design, develop, integrate, test, troubleshoot, deploy, and support enterprise CRM solutions.

The role focuses on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Service, Power Platform, Azure, Dataverse, and custom .NET development. The successful candidate will work across both low-code configuration and custom application development while collaborating with technical teams, business stakeholders, and subject matter experts throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate technical and business requirements into detailed designs, programming specifications, and tested applications.
  • Design, develop, configure, test, debug, document, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications.
  • Develop and support Dynamics 365 CRM, Dynamics 365 Customer Service, Power Platform, Power Apps, and Dataverse solutions.
  • Perform both low-code and custom Dynamics 365 development.
  • Configure and support Customer Service Workspace, Agent Experience Profiles, Session Templates, Workstreams, Routing, Case Management, and Knowledge Management.
  • Develop Model-Driven Apps, Canvas Apps, Power Pages, custom PCF controls, and solutions using Liquid templating.
  • Design and develop integrations between Dynamics 365 and other Microsoft cloud technologies.
  • Develop and support custom Web APIs, ASP.NET/.NET Core, Azure, and Azure SQL solutions.
  • Conduct unit testing, technical validation, troubleshooting, migration, conversion, and deployment activities.
  • Support DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, task boards, Kanban, and Agile delivery.
  • Resolve implementation and post-implementation issues and provide ongoing application support.
  • Prepare technical designs, documentation, reports, assessments, user documentation, and system documentation.
  • Conduct design walkthroughs, technical reviews, and stakeholder consultations.
  • Collaborate with IT professionals, business stakeholders, and subject matter experts across the complete SDLC.
  • Apply structured software development methodologies and accessibility requirements, including AODA standards.

Requirements

Mandatory Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Microsoft Power Platform, Azure, and Dataverse.
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 interoperability, integrations, and other Microsoft cloud technologies.
  • Experience with both low-code and custom Dynamics 365 development.
  • Proficiency in .NET, C#, JavaScript, Web APIs, ASP.NET, .NET Core, Entity Framework, and Azure SQL.
  • Experience with Azure solution design and development.
  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, task boards, Kanban, and Agile development practices.
  • Understanding of Azure, Dynamics 365, and Power Platform cloud services, including SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS models.

Dynamics 365 Customer Service Experience

  • Extensive experience developing Dynamics 365 Customer Service solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with Case Management and Knowledge Management.
  • Experience configuring Customer Service Workspace.
  • Experience with Agent Experience Profiles, Session Templates, Workstreams, and Routing.

Power Platform and Application Development Experience

  • Experience developing Model-Driven Apps, Canvas Apps, and Power Pages.
  • Experience developing custom PCF controls.
  • Experience with Liquid server-side templating.
  • Experience designing and developing Dataverse solutions.
  • Experience developing custom Web APIs and internet-ready applications.
  • Experience with relational and hierarchical databases, query languages, information retrieval technologies, middleware, and gateway technologies.
  • Experience designing, coding, testing, debugging, deploying, documenting, migrating, and supporting enterprise applications.

Professional and Collaboration Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to gather and document requirements from diverse stakeholders and subject matter experts.
  • Ability to prepare clear technical documentation, reports, reviews, assessments, and recommendations.
  • Strong customer-service orientation and ability to provide post-implementation support.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and meet project deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ontario Public Service or broader public-sector experience.
  • Dynamics 365 and/or Azure certifications.
  • Experience with Rapid Application Development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Information Management principles, policies, and practices.
  • Experience reviewing and modifying product installation scripts.
  • Knowledge of AODA and related accessibility standards and regulations.

  • Location: Toronto, Ontario
  • Work arrangement: 100% onsite, Monday to Friday
  • Working hours: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, excluding lunch breaks
  • Contract term: November 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027
  • Extension: Up to one additional term
