Job Description

Orca Creative Team is seeking experienced freelance wedding photographers and videographers to join its Los Angeles team. The role involves capturing weddings, engagement sessions, and elopements throughout the Los Angeles area while providing a high level of customer service to couples.

Photographers and videographers will focus on capturing high-quality images or footage, using a photojournalistic and storytelling approach. Orca Creative Team manages administrative tasks, culling, and editing, allowing freelancers to concentrate on their creative work.

• Photograph or record weddings, engagement sessions, and elopements.
• Provide professional and friendly customer service to couples.
• Capture weddings using a photojournalistic approach.
• Help couples pose naturally and confidently during sessions and events.
• Manage availability and accept suitable freelance assignments.
• Deliver high-quality RAW photographs or video footage.
• Represent Orca Creative Team as an independent contractor.

Requirements

• At least 10 weddings of experience as a lead photographer or videographer.
• At least three weddings of experience as an assistant photographer or videographer.
• Photographers must understand natural light, posing, and off-camera flash.
• Videographers must understand audio recording and drone capture.
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and travel throughout the Los Angeles area.

Lead Photographer/Videographer Equipment

• Two mirrorless cameras with dual memory card slots.
• Prime lenses with wide apertures between f/1.2 and f/1.8.
• Zoom lenses with an aperture of f/2.8.
• Off-camera lighting equipment.
• Videographers must also have audio equipment and a drone.

Assistant Photographer/Videographer Equipment

• One mirrorless camera with dual memory card slots.
• Prime lenses with wide apertures between f/1.2 and f/1.8.
• Zoom lenses with an aperture of f/2.8.
