Job Description

Wipro is seeking a Power BI Developer to design, build, and maintain business intelligence solutions that turn raw data into accurate, insightful dashboards and reports.

The role involves working with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs, translate functional requirements into technical specifications, and develop reliable, scalable reporting solutions using Microsoft Power BI and Power BI Service.

Key responsibilities include:

• Creating interactive Power BI reports, dashboards, and data visualisations.
• Building and managing data models, star schemas, and data pipelines using Power Query and ETL processes.
• Developing efficient DAX queries, calculations, and KPI measures.
• Optimising report performance and large data models for scalability and faster load times.
• Validating data accuracy, consistency, and security, including implementing Row-Level Security.
• Supporting integration testing, troubleshooting configuration and performance issues, and validating interface behaviour.
• Preparing user documentation, configuration notes, and testing materials.
• Collaborating with business users and technical teams to define and deliver reporting requirements.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI and Power BI Service.
• Strong knowledge of Power Query, ETL processes, data modelling, and star schemas.
• Proficiency in DAX, KPI development, and performance optimisation.
• Experience creating dashboards, reports, and interactive data visualisations from scratch.
• Understanding of data quality, security, and Row-Level Security implementation.
• Ability to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical reporting solutions.
• Experience with configuration, minor customisation, troubleshooting, documentation, and testing.
• Experience requirement is listed as 5–8 years; the detailed job description specifies 8+ years of hands-on Power BI experience.
