Job Description

Alignity Solutions is seeking a Data Security and Cloud Engineer with experience in application authorization, integration, cloud security, and data platforms. The role involves working with application architects, development teams, security teams, and data engineering teams to design and implement secure, scalable enterprise authorization integrations.

The successful candidate will assess application architectures and integration patterns, recommend suitable approaches for consuming enterprise authorization services, test authorization policies through REST APIs, and provide technical guidance to resolve access-control and integration challenges.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with application architects, solution architects, developers, security teams, and other technical stakeholders.
• Understand application architectures, integration patterns, and security requirements.
• Evaluate application integration approaches for enterprise authorization services.
• Define and recommend secure integration methods for applications and APIs.
• Test and validate authorization policies using REST APIs and tools such as Postman.
• Analyze API requests and responses to troubleshoot authorization, policy evaluation, and access-control issues.
• Work with development teams to resolve integration and authorization challenges.
• Assess cloud data and analytics platforms, including Databricks, Snowflake, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Apply authentication, authorization, API integration, and cloud security concepts in enterprise environments.
• Support collaboration between application, security, and data engineering teams.
• Provide technical guidance to ensure secure, scalable, and maintainable integrations.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong experience working with architects, developers, and technical stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of application architecture, integration patterns, and security requirements.
• Experience evaluating integration approaches for enterprise authorization solutions.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs and Postman.
• Strong troubleshooting skills involving API requests, responses, policy evaluation, and access control.
• Good understanding of authentication, authorization, API security, and cloud security.
• Working knowledge of Databricks, Snowflake, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Understanding of modern cloud data platform architectures.
• Experience working across application, security, and data engineering teams.
• Ability to translate authorization and security requirements into practical technical solutions.
