Job Description

Novel Brands is seeking paid, on-call short-form content creators to help build awareness for Plungeroo, a range of tool-free plumbing products for sinks, tubs, and drains. The role focuses on creating memorable, relatable content that demonstrates products solving common home-repair problems quickly and affordably.

Creators will develop, film, edit, and deliver videos for TikTok, Instagram, Amazon, and paid advertising. Content may include product demonstrations, street interviews, trend-based videos, and storytelling. The product must remain central to every video and be shown working on camera.

• Pitch and develop original concepts for Plungeroo products.
• Create 15–60-second short-form videos.
• Appear on camera or film hands-on product demonstrations.
• Turn everyday plumbing frustrations into engaging, approachable content.
• Help develop recurring content formats and series concepts.
• Follow the brand voice guide and content briefs.
• Make revisions based on feedback.
• Respond to requests within 24–48 hours and submit first drafts within five business days of receiving the product and brief.

Requirements

Required

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Samples of short-form video work, including school projects, personal TikToks, Reels, or other relevant content.
• Strong understanding of hooks, pacing, social media trends, and engaging short-form content.
• Comfortable appearing on camera or filming hands-on demonstrations at home.
• Able to manage the complete content process from concept through filming and editing.
• Reliable communication and consistent on-time delivery.

Preferred

• Background or education in marketing, advertising, communications, film/video production, digital media, graphic design, or a related field.
• Experience creating UGC, advertising content, or content for consumer brands.
• Experience with TikTok Shop, Amazon content, street interviews, or interviewing people on camera.
• Comfort featuring friends, roommates, or other participants in videos.
• Experience editing with CapCut, Premiere, or similar software.

Engagement Details

• Remote, flexible, and occasional/on-call work suitable for someone balancing school or another job.
• Expected commitment of no more than 10 hours per week.
• Products are shipped to creators and may be kept.
• Novel Brands owns the final videos and may use them on product listings, social media, and paid advertisements.
• Compensation: $20–$30 per hour.
• Benefit: Flexible schedule.

Selection Process

• Begin with one paid test video based on a short brief.
• Creators may choose a product demonstration, street interview, or original concept.
• Successful creators may pitch a three- to four-video series and join the ongoing creator rotation.

Application Requirements

• Submit two or three examples of video content created, preferably product or brand content.
• Share a short assessment of Plungeroo, including what stands out, what could be improved, and how you would approach content for the brand.
• Provide one Plungeroo video idea in two or three sentences.
