Job Description

Alt Super Store is seeking a part-time Social Media Content Creator to manage its day-to-day Instagram and TikTok presence. The role will create engaging content, build the online community, and help shape the brand’s social media strategy during a refresh of its channels.

The successful candidate will plan, film, edit, and publish short-form videos and photo content, including product features, behind-the-scenes content, trends, and product education. They will also write captions, manage the content calendar, respond to comments and direct messages, monitor relevant accounts, and identify opportunities to participate in emerging trends.

Additional responsibilities include tracking social media performance, recommending content improvements, capturing content at in-person shoots and community events, and supporting influencer and user-generated content outreach.

Requirements

• Experience managing Instagram and TikTok for a brand, freelance client, or personal account, with examples and results to share.
• Confident filming and editing short-form video using tools such as CapCut, Premiere Rush, or native social media apps.
• Strong, natural writing skills with a casual and authentic brand voice.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to meet posting deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Based in or near Los Angeles and able to attend in-person shoots and events.
• Comfortable appearing on camera.
• Experience working with alternative products or age-restricted brands is preferred.
• Understanding of social media platform content policies and how to avoid content flags or account restrictions is a strong advantage.

Position Details

• Location: Hybrid remote in Commerce, California, serving the Los Angeles area.
• Schedule: Part-time, approximately 10–20 hours per week, with flexible hours plus some scheduled time for live posting and team check-ins.
• Pay: $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience.
• Employment type: Part-time internship.
• Reports to: Brand Manager.
