Job Description
CoreSite is seeking a Salesforce Developer to join its Information Technology team. The role is responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and supporting Salesforce solutions that serve internal and external users.
The Salesforce Developer will contribute to the design and implementation of enterprise Salesforce capabilities, deliver Salesforce components, and partner with architecture and DevOps teams to support technology priorities and enhance CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop innovative Salesforce solutions that deliver business value.
- Maintain, monitor, troubleshoot, and support Salesforce applications, data, and performance.
- Collaborate with architecture, DevOps, and cross-functional technology teams.
- Establish, follow, and improve coding standards and participate in code reviews.
- Apply software development lifecycle, governance, design pattern, and deployment best practices.
- Support Agile development and contribute across multiple technical disciplines.
- Promote CoreSite’s culture and values of collaboration, ownership, and operational excellence.
- Perform additional projects and duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, including at least two onsite days per week.
- Availability to work standard business hours and occasional nights or weekends for deployments and maintenance windows.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in an Agile environment.
- Experience with source control, version management, and code deployment practices.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and business teams.
- Ability to analyze requirements, retrieve source data, and deliver accurate results promptly.
- Experience gathering and documenting detailed business and technical requirements.
- Knowledge of integration patterns and asynchronous processing capabilities.
- Understanding of the Salesforce product suite, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
- Understanding of systems architecture and the ability to design scalable solutions.
- Ability to facilitate knowledge sharing, resolve conflicts, lead discussions, and promote collaboration.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field strongly preferred.
- At least seven years of IT experience, including five or more years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
- Experience with Salesforce customization, security controls, profiles, roles, users, record types, page layouts, and email services.
- Experience using Salesforce administration tools for user management, data management, domain management, reports, dashboards, communication templates, tasks, and events.
- Strong hands-on experience with Apex, Triggers, Flows, Aura, and Lightning Web Components.
- Experience creating custom objects, tabs, fields, picklist values, role-based page layouts, reports, and report exports.
- Experience with Salesforce DX and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of Salesforce Lightning Design System and a strong interest in user experience and user interface design.
- Experience delivering projects using Scrum, Waterfall, Iterative, Kanban, or similar development frameworks.
- Experience developing products in the telecommunications or data center industry, with knowledge of network-based products, preferred.
- Experience with MuleSoft Anypoint and SQL Server preferred.
- Preferred certifications include Salesforce Platform App Builder, JavaScript Developer I, Salesforce Platform Developer I, and Salesforce Platform Developer II.
Position Details
This is a temporary, six-month position.
Physical Requirements

Compensation
The base compensation range is $68.89 to $78.70 per hour. The role may also be eligible for an annual bonus and equity based on individual and company performance.
