Job Description

The AWS Cloud Solutions Architect / Cloud Engineer will design and implement secure, scalable cloud architectures, primarily for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), while supporting AWS, Azure, and other multi-cloud environments.

The role involves partnering with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud solutions. The architect will develop cloud standards, governance models, frameworks, and best practices, with a particular focus on OCI.

The successful candidate will support cloud migration and hybrid-infrastructure initiatives, guide engineering teams, and supplement existing technical capabilities. Responsibilities include cloud networking, infrastructure configuration, patching, backups, monitoring, alerting, security, automation, and disaster recovery.

The role also requires knowledge of AI technologies available across cloud platforms and the ability to demonstrate practical use of AI. The organization is expanding its Infrastructure-as-Code capabilities, including Terraform, Ansible, and API/CLI automation.

Additional responsibilities include developing high-availability and disaster-recovery architectures, assessing product architecture and roadmaps, supporting database platforms, and implementing SRE and DevOps practices such as observability and SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs.

Requirements

• 6–9 years of experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI); OCI expertise is mandatory.
• 1–2 years of experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP preferred.
• 4–6 years of experience with hybrid infrastructure, cloud networking, and cloud DevOps or automation.
• 2–3 years of experience with cloud security.
• 1–2 years of experience with cloud FinOps.
• 2–3 years of experience creating architecture documentation using tools such as Visio or Abacus.
• Demonstrated expertise in cloud platforms, services, governance, frameworks, and best practices.
• Experience with cloud server environments, including configuration, patching, VLAN and network configuration, backups, system monitoring, and alerts.
• Knowledge of AI technologies supported on cloud platforms, with the ability to demonstrate practical AI use.
• Experience with Oracle database technologies, including Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, GoldenGate, RMAN, and database licensing.
• Experience with Oracle platforms such as Exadata, ExaCC, ExaDB-D, Exascale, DBaaS, and OEM.
• Knowledge of high availability, disaster recovery, and multi-cloud architecture.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, and API/CLI-based automation.
• Knowledge of monitoring, observability, SRE, DevOps, and service-level metrics.
• Linux administration or network administration skills are a plus.
